Since I didn’t want it out in the ether long enough for Woody Allen to write it and produce it, I opened up final draft and started a beat board.
Eventually i realized the display I needed was coming down. Next week if you are wondering, so I grabbed the firehose and jumped into the fire.
The first day of shooting is tomorrow. I am sitting on a flight traveling coast to coast to get this done.
For anyone afraid to start a project, my advice is check the market, if there is demand go full speed. Support has been beyond expectations and people have reached out to step up and be a part of it. I hope that some time next summer, I am announcing the premier.
Nice Vlog, since the blog says it is a list of top ten mistakes and #5 is clearly a don't and #6 is clearly a do. I wasn't sure if #1 and #10 were a "mistake" or a "what not to do", so I watched the video.

For those of you who are too lazy to watch the video (like I wanted to be), here is the summary list re-written as top ten tips.
#1 Do not include accolades or long bios.
#2 Know the right length of a log line.
#3 Do not include Out of Date or failed work as comps.
#4 Don't write a summary that is all plot and no character.
#5 Make sure you have someone double check your spelling and grammar
#6 Make sure you use your space and time wisely.
#7 Make sure you don't read your pitch, know it cold.
#8 Do pitch, don't sell, a pitch is the story and why you are the only one who can tell it. Selling is a benefits/problems solving/inclusion tactic.
#9 Be sure to include a Pilot and a Series summary for TV
#10 Don't end with a cliffhanger.
This one alone is probably an entire video....
If I get any of them wrong, please feel free to correct me.

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
Thanks, and have a creative day!
