GENRE: Romance, Independent
LOGLINE:

When yet another girlfriend leaves her for a man, an anxious lesbian aims to sleep with one herself, for the first time, but her quest leads to an old friend and perhaps a new beginning.

SYNOPSIS:

NELSON, a thirty-year-old woman, is left heartbroken when her girlfriend leaves her to marry a man. This heartbreak is just the latest in a long series of failed relationships, which propels Nelson into an existential crisis as she begins to experience recurring dreams about having sex with men.

With her life turned upside down and questioning everything she thought she knew about herself, Nelson is guided by her best friend, Marco, and her therapist to try to find the answers she needs to reconcile a multitude of phobias, panic attacks, and a penchant for self-sabotage.

As Nelson embarks on her journey of self-discovery, she decides to try heterosexual sex for the first time, which ends in a hilarious disaster of epic proportions.

Despite a renewed confidence in her sexuality and a genuine distaste for the male anatomy, things only seem to keep getting worse for Nelson. But unexpectedly, a ray of hope enters her life in the form of Hannah, a college friend who has harbored a secret crush on Nelson since their school days. However, Hannah is a trans woman, with no desire for sexual reassignment surgery.

As the two spend more time together, they become closer, and Nelson begins to fall for Hannah. But the complex dynamics of this new relationship bring long-held insecurities to the surface, threatening to sabotage their budding romance before it can truly begin.

Together, Nelson and Hannah discover that love is a hard-fought battle. But in the end, it’s the sole ingredient to heal painful wounds. Finally, Nelson finds the courage to accept her flaws, make peace with the past, and begin a future with the one person she never thought she'd fall in love with.

This sounds like a wonderful and complex story! I might streamline the logline into one sentence. Maybe something like: After her girlfriend leaves her for a man, a neurotic painter spirals into a bitter existential crisis, which is further complicated by her developing feelings for her long-time friend, a Trans woman.
