About Wendy

A Connecticut/NYC native, Wendy is a graduate of the 1991 Warner Bros. Writers Program. She was a sitcom writer on the staffs of Growing Pains, Empty Nest, and The Good Life before entering into multiple sitcom development deals for The Greenblatt/Janollari Studio, 3 Arts Entertainment, and Colossal Pictures, writing pilots for NBC, CBS, Fox and Lifetime.

Her first feature film script “The Governess” was sold to Columbia Pictures in 2001 with Jennifer Lopez attached to star. Her feature film “Just Swipe,” starring Full House’s Jodie Sweetin, was released by Viacom in Feb 2022.

She spends her time writing sitcoms, features, YA novels and laughing with her two sons who have definitely inherited the comedy gene.

At a time when the orphanages were not known to be improving a young woman decided to change an entire system by closing them down. This caused uproar throughout the country. Due to her tenacity and belief in that all children need a home with a loving family she succeeded in taking Romania to court. The system was changed and a charity began which changed the face of Romania forever. The film which was produced by Marcela Villegas Castanon and Larry Schapiro of Nine Yards Entertainment.
