About Tammy

Tammy Reese is a Upstate NY award-winning actress and writer, 2018 40 Under Forty Award recipient, 2019 WCNY/PBS Makers: Women Who Make America Award Honoree, and the Owner of Visionary Minds Public Relations and Media.

Tammy’s background is also includes directing theater, public access tv, and short film.

As an Veteran media professional Tammy has covered a variety of industry events and conferences for The Academy Awards, Sundance Film Festival, Tribeca Film Festival, Starz, AMC, Shudder, Lionsgate, Prime Video, HBO Max, Lifetime, BET, TV One, Urban Music Honors, Black Music Honors, Black Media Honors, The Roku Channel, and more.

Over the course of her career, she’s interviewed a host of notable names such as Laurence Fishburne, Geena Davis, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Sigourney Weaver, Giancarlo Esposito, Tom Arnold, Britt Lower, Essie Davis, Merritt Weaver, Ross Marquand, Michael James Shaw, Joseph Sikora, Patina Miller, Tonya Pinkins, Michole Briana White, Courtney Kemp, Nelly, Leslie Easterbrook, Carmen Electra, Meagan Good, Leon, Christopher Play Martin, Aleks Paunovic, and Matt Cedeno to name a few.

Graduating from Empire State College in 2008, she majored in media studies gaining experience and accomplishment in journalism, TV, film, blogging ,and radio production while minoring in theater /culture.

Tammy's career started at age 12 with The Media Unit TV and Stage production company traveling and performing over 60 live stage shows a year, Technical Directing or Hosting a public access TV program, “Rough Times Live.” In Tammy's 10 years with the company, her talents excelled as an Actress, Choreographer, Dancer, Writer, TV Host and Director. Hosting and Directing a live TV show made Tammy ready for anything in entertainment and media.

As of late Tammy has been killing it in the multimedia world. Covering the biggest talent, industry events, tv series and films.

Her passion is also uplifting, empowering, and giving a voice to the overlooked and underserved through the medium of journalism.
