About Jeffrey

Jeff Eichen Biography

Jeff Eichen born in California 1958.

Jeff Eichen At 17 year’s young studied Photography with Ansel Adams at the Yosemite workshop. I even grasped The Zone System. Ansel’s Car had a Plate which said: “ Zone V ”. Jeff went to Carmel to study with Brett Weston (son of Edward Weston) and then Bernard Freemesser at the University of Oregon in 1976. 1980 Jeff moved to the Netherlands to teach Photography with Byron Piniger (from Port Headlock WA) as a Teacher’s assistant and Exchange Student.

Upon returning to the States, Jeff moved to Los Angeles to pursue a professional career in Architectural photography for over 15 years.
Never leaving his Art behind, Jeff had several Art shows through the years. After a successful professional career in the mid to late 90’s Jeff returned to teaching Middle School photography in Topanga Canyon for 3 years. “Yes this was a turning period for me, teaching the children I never birthed”.

1995 Jeff self taught himself Photoshop and was hired in 2001 in a large Digital Studio in Los Angeles making museum quality Giclee Prints for Commercial installations and interior Art for Museums. Jeff’s work has been displayed all over the world in Art Galleries and Commercial spaces.

Jeff now currently lives in Port Townsend and peruses his life as a digital Artist, Instructor and Professional photographer. Specializing in Architecture Commercial, Residential, and Product photography for brochures websites and now “Now I am a Self taught Filmmaker”. My first film "Lifers Madness The Movie" All about the War On Drugs, Reforming the Prison system and Cannabis-3-Striker Lifers W/O parole.
