About Cari

Cari Griffo is a published poet and produced screenwriter. She significantly shines as a performance poet. Her work has appeared in literary publications and anthologies. Amid her chapbooks, a collection of over 40 poems is published in her book, Ripening, Molti Frutti Productions (1997). Cari has also recorded the CD Ripening (poetry set to music), produced by Glen Neff (1997). She has performed her poetry in collaboration with musicians at such notable venues as, The Nuyorican Poets Café and The Knitting Factory in Manhattan, and Site Santa Fe. Excerpts of her poetry performances have been viewed on The Flying Fish Poetry Show, New York City cable.

She also has read, performed, and interviewed on various radio shows throughout the country. Cari has been a guest author and performer at The New Mexico’s Author Festival. She was an honored guest performer with Santa Fe New Music, 2008/2009 season. Jury selected poetry performance in Ravens by Santa Fe Council for the Arts. In Santa Fe, where Cari resides, she has facilitated many workshops in the areas of poetry, prose, and performance.

Notably, Cari was interviewed by Barbara Bernhard, writer/producer of Dateline NBC, about her passion for writing and performance. In 2013, Ms. Griffo's pilot webisode Canyon Road was produced by Kokopele Productions, and won BEST WEBISODE, 2013 New Mexico Film Festival. Cari Griffo has completed several screenplays represented by Andrew J. Whelchel 111 of GTR, Inc, a subsidiary of National Writers Literary Agency. Cari volunteered for years with The Alzheimer's Poetry Project. Currently, she is contracted to write a feature for a historical drama.
