I have been a youth worker for the past 45 years. As a foster parent, a truancy tracker, and a juvenile care specialist, I have worked with literally thousands of at-risk kids. As a playwright and performer, I have also produced and presented interactive plays/challenge courses that impacted 15,000 kids. I also taught Creative Writing and Drama classes to classes of 8th graders for the Multicultural Affairs for the University of Nebraska. So far, I have 12 books to my name and I am currently working on the script for a video game and just completed two screenplays based on my books. I first began writing books for my target audience while working at a detention center. The youth there usually returned my manuscripts in tatters. My claim to fame is that my first book, Scratchin’ on the Eight Ball is listed as the most Lost, Stolen, Missing book in the public school and public library systems here in Lincoln. Kids like what I write.
