Roberto Milanesi

Milanesi Roberto was born on 06/15/1964 in Bologna Italy.Once graduated as a solicitor in the University of Bologna he decided to follow his passion and opened his first Tattoo Studio in Bologna in 1993. Since he was a child he showed off his passion for music and his punk attitude that bring him to cross the underground punk and new wave scene as a singer and drummer in various band such as UXIDI DC, DIES IRAE and OK, PANIC!. At the age of 33 he started out a long path in west african drums, following courses and workshops with great masters, such as Assane Adissa,Bruno Genero,Billy Nankouma Konate,Brahima Dembele,Enrico Fronza,Famodou Konate,Sourakata Dioubate,Seny Toure.Also he was founder of ensemble Benkadi ,that after became an association,promoting worshops and courses for many african dancers ,like Dian Camara and Ismail Bangoura,playing live percussions during the courses and in many theatre( second place in UMBRIA DANCE FESTIVAL as best group and coreography) and street performances like Ferrara Buskers Festival,IMOLA IN FESTA and so on. In 2006 he started out a course of african percussion and a collaboration with a crossover folk music big band called ‘’Jambalaya feat Bangs in the Fog’’where he arranged the drums parts . Around year 2000 he bought his first Apple computer and begin to play the same electronic music he was used to do with machines like Roland MC 303, made easyer to do by Pro Tools and Reason. He started producing home music of different styles and bpm :IDM,TRIBAL TEKNO,GOA TRANCE,PROGRESSIVE DREAM ,DEEP TECHOUSE,SOULFUL HOUSE,ELECTROMINIMAL,HIP HOP,DOWNTEMPO/CHILL OUT that he used to play as a dj with 100% self produced sets, mixing out in a particular way and linking music with visuals that he also produces.
