In the near future, the US is about to enact a force-field to permanently halt illegal immigration, so smugglers, refugees, and DHS agents go on a mad dash to create their own legacy in a week.

SYNOPSIS:

BORDERS tells the story of building of a wall on the United States’ southern border with Mexico during a time of heightened drug trafficking, gun running, and the transport of illegal immigrants. After building an ineffectual physical barrier to curtail illicit border crossings, the United States government is left dealing with the aftermath: A series of intricate tunnels and roads have been built by civilians, corrupt government officials, and the drug cartels to circumvent the border wall.

Determined to solve the overwhelming flood of immigrants and contraband being smuggled over the border, the United States government invests in a newer border utilizing technology invented by Nikola Tesla in 1930, Tesla Shield Technology. The new border uses scalar waves to disintegrate whoever tries to cross the border from deep ground to a very high altitude. Only using portals where the force field is deactivated can a vehicle or a person cross the border.

A super volcano located in Yellowstone National Park in the northwest region of the United States erupts, a natural disaster predicted to wipe out a significant portion of the U.S. population. While some people are able to run, the vast majority of Americans are unable to evacuate.
