A young neophyte violinist finds herself entangled in a murder investigation when her mentor, a famous conductor, is assassinated on the podium at the Metropolitan Opera. But when she teams up with the opera-loving NYPD detective assigned to the case, the violinist realizes she may be the killer's next victim.
