SYNOPSIS:

•Cheerio Poofter is a Drama set in a town outside Glasgow beginning in the 1980’s where shy Richard Armstrong realises that he may be gay. •Facing his sexuality, Richard seeks advice from the local GLBT and comes out to his family and friends. •Richard wants to live a normal life and must choose between the consequences and bigotry of being a gay man or deny his sexuality and live peacefully. •After his mother dies he attempts suicide and realises no one in his family cares about him. •By the end of the film Richard is realises that he must live life as a proud man and breaks free of the bigotry and hatred of his family. •This is a journey of hope and how to be proud and to believe in yourself and your limitless imagination, to and use them to live life.
