About Lisa

I began my career in the film/tv industry as a Production Coordinator, moving on to roles in Locations, Construction, Paint, Post and Animation. I eventually decided on a career in visual effects, where I've held positions as Coordinator, On-set Supervisor, Producer, Head of Production, EP, and Managing Director, and as such, have an extensive credit list which includes feature films, series, and miniseries.
In 2004, I co-founded Anthem Visual Effects, where I was Senior Producer and CFO for 9 years. In 2013, I was hired by Deluxe to open Encore Hollywood’s Toronto VFX studio: I then went on to become Head of Production at Legend in TO, until being sought out for a role as Global Managing Director (CEO) at Mr. X Visual Effects (a Technicolor company).
I have been nominated for 5 Emmys, 2 VES Awards, a total of 4 Gemini Awards (winning 2), and 5 Leo Awards (winning 2). I am member of the Visual Effects Society (was on the Executive Board of Directors for 4 years and now serve as Treasurer of the VES Toronto Section Board of Managers). I a voting member of ATAS and ACCT, and am a member of both Women in Film and TV Toronto & Vancouver.

In my “spare” time, I write screenplays, am an avid alpine skier, equestrian, snowshoer, photographer, knitter, movie buff, and volunteer.

Unique traits: I have a photographic memory, am dyslexic and am a bit of a numbers savant. I have a quirky sense of humour, and can sing the lyrics to virtually every song I hear.
