Who, me? Well, my name is Nikki! I've dreamed of being a filmmaker since I was 7 years old. Yeah, I was a weird little kid. I spent all of my freetime in movie theatres watching films I shouldn't have been seeing at that age, and it changed me for life. Whether that's a good thing or a bad one has yet to be discovered. Now, nearly 20 years later, I put my entire heart and soul into every project I make. Havingpicked up screenwriting a few years ago as a step towards achieving my dreams, I have been working tirelessly ever since. There's nothing I can't do behind the scenes. I'm a one-woman army.
My biggest inspirations are Frank Darabont, Sam Mendes and Tim Robbins, the latter of whom I have a massive crush on, so... just keep that in mind. ;)
My biggest project, the one nearest and dearest to my heart, is a film called Spiral Down. Set to do for drug addiction what The Days of Wine and Roses did for alcoholism, it focuses on the central character's descent into addiction with no way out. Based entirely on the real life stories of my two cousins and my childhood best friend, all of whom died of their drug addictions, it tells a raw and unflinching story of reality. A reality that could affect any of us.
