Bee venom that can treat breast cancer? Panda blood that can build resistance to superbugs like COVID-19? Snails that can reverse Alzheimer's? The animal kingdom is filled with potential treatments and cures to some of humankind's deadliest diseases... if it doesn't go extinct first.
SYNOPSIS:
An adventurous host travels the globe in search of endangered animals and insects that are being studied for their incredible contributions to the human medical field. Along the way, they will learn how these amazing creatures use their unique abilities to survive in their own world, how those abilities are being used to help treat and possibly cure various human ailments, what outside forces threaten their existence, and what (if anything) is being done to protect them.
“To save ourselves, we must save them first”.
Episodes:
Bees and Wasps – HIV, breast cancer, skin cancer, rheumatoid arthritis.
Snakes – Hypertension, blood pressure, blood clotting, chronic pain.
Spiders/Scorpions/Centipedes – Cancers, muscular dystrophy, erectile dysfunction.
Cone Snails – Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, Schizophrenia, lung cancer.
Sea Anemones – Multiple sclerosis, lupus, psoriasis.
Giant Panda – Antibiotics, fungal infections, superbug resistance.
Gila Monster – Diabetes.
Zebrafish – Metabolic disorders.
Dogfish (sharks) – Dengue fever, hepatitis, infectious diseases.
Wild Horses – Blindness.
