Thomas Kirtley

I began my personal studies during High School with a videography class. From there on I fell in love with the art of creating movies, always having that drive to make my movies cinematic. My curiosity pushed me with every film I watched to understand the behind the scenes elements, and how they were pieced together so intricately to produce what unfolds before your eyes at the movie theater.
I finally took a filmmaking course for an 8 week duration with the 'New York Film Academy' in Orlando Florida, during the summer of 2006. It was an amazing experience being able to shoot on actual film, instead of the digital medium most often used today.
I unfortunately fell into that typical life slump where my day to day menial job took priority over my attempts at creating movies, after all the dream of being a successful videographer/filmmaker/actor was something a little more than just a grasp away. But here I am today, studying to get my Bachelors Degree with 'Full Sail University' in Digital Cinematography. My goal is to succeed in my dreams of being a filmmaker by the time I graduate and be able to, at the very least, make a decent living as a full time filmmaker.
