Richard Knox Robinson is a photographer and filmmaker based near Charlottesville, Virginia. His work focuses on images and how they operate. Through writings, exhibits films and still images, his work explores the use of the photographic image in topics ranging from documentary truth to colonialism, eugenics and facial recognition technology. His films have screened at Sundance, Hot Docs, SIFF, MountainFilm Telluride, RIDM and Watch Docs. He is represented by Cinema Guild of New York and Grasshopper Films.
