Howell and friends arrive at a school in the desert where they prepare to face evil forces. But even the school itself is not safe.

3. EPISODE THREE: “My Greatest Enemy—Myself”

Howell and his friends face many dangers: a flash flood, a huge, deadly snake and many more. But the greatest danger is Howell himself.

4. EPISODE FOUR: “Look Into My Eyes”

Howell returns to his friends in the desert questing for Apache Tears. The search is demanding and, with Howell as leader, ultimately successful, but not as Professor Drago Lucian intended.

5. EPISODE FIVE: “Kochma Kote! Nightmare Place!”

With the aid of Uncle Tal and the other Doeths [wizards], Howell and his friends escape Professor Drago Lucian’s school in the desert.

6. EPISODE SIX: "Travèse Envizib. Invisible crossings.”

Howell and friends enter the tunnels that lead to the central kiva. Here Howell confronts the Evil Force behind his mother’s disappearance.
