He searches for Paul till he faints.
15 years later Christine, a 38 years old American lawyer, finds Negro in a Brazilian prison and organizes an expedition to take him back to his tribe.
Both are accompanied by a Doctor, a Guide and Visconti (Paul’s friend). They contact Indian tribes trying to find out which tribe Negro belongs to.
Through the dangerous expedition they are attacked by animals, hunted by military men, they become aware of the Indian tribe’s survival problems.
The small 5 people expeditionary group will turn into a small tribe lost in the Amazon forest surviving the same way as the tribes they visited.
Christine will become the mother that Negro never had. They discover Negro’s tribe. Negro finds out that the only reason why his tribe still exists nowadays is because he never came back. The tribe never again trusted a white man and that’s what made it survive. Negro refuses to contact his tribe. During the expedition he understood that he is no longer an Indian anymore, he is a white man and it is to the white’s men "tribe" that he must now return.
