João Miguel Matos

Born in 1974 he was raised by Spielberg's master pieces like ET and Indiana Jones and by extraordinary BBC shows like "Sherlock Holmes".
He graduated as a Journalist at Universidade Nova de Lisboa and took acting classes on College.
With a Master in Communication, Culture and Information Technology, João was a journalist for 10 years before starting to write to TV, Theatre and Cinema.
He has written series, shows, and telenovela for the Portuguese, Chinese and Angolan markets.
He was headwriter in several productions, having worked for major portuguese producing company as well as independent producing companies.
At the moment he is a scriptwriter for SIC Television, and he is developing series for the company streaming service, soon available in Portugal and Europe.
He has two period series on production, due to be aired at the Fall and a feature film about the 25th April 1974 portuguese hero Salgueiro Maia.
As a scriptwriter he worked on the serie "Daughter of the Law", now available on Netflix USA.
