Julie Garnyé is an actress, singer, voiceover artist, writer and director. She was most recently seen as an original cast member of the first national tour of the Broadway hit COME FROM AWAY. She can still occasionally be seen as Bulda/Queen Iduna in Frozen Live at the Hyperion Theatre at the Disneyland Resort in Southern California.
On television, Julie most recently appeared as an original cast member of FATWA! The Musical
during season nine of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Julie was also the "In Memoriam" soloist for the 2016 Daytime Emmy Awards telecast and was a part of the Les Misérables ensemble for the Academy Awards (The OSCARS) telecast in 2013.
Theatre career highlights include Grizabella in the 5th national tour of the musical CATS, Broadway’s HAIR in Concert and CHESS in Concert at The New Amsterdam Theatre, Jenny Steinberg in the Southern California premiere of It Shoulda Been You,
First Things Last at London’s Garrick Theatre and her
three appearances at The Hollywood Bowl, including Les Misérables, Chicago and Mamma Mia!
Ms. Garnyé has sung with numerous symphony orchestras, including the San Diego Symphony,
The Dallas Pops and The LA Philharmonic and
has performed with many musical greats including Josh Groban, Carole King, Stephen Schwartz, Kristin Chenoweth, and jazz legend Dave Brubeck.
She is currently recording her first album,
Julie Garnyé “&” The Writers. This first in her “&” series of records will feature Julie singing with twelve of her favorite composers and lyricists, including luminaries Stephen Schwartz,
Jason Robert Brown, Pasek & Paul, David Zippel, Robert & Kristen Lopez, Paul Adelstein, and Lance Horne.
