About Robin

I am a playwright, dramaturg, and literary management professional based on the East Coast. I have been writing plays since I was 15, when my high school drama club’s playwriting class changed my life. My plays include "Sam Loves Alex"; "Be Bold, Be Bold"; "Family Emergency"; and "On My Honor" (full production through Emerson College’s NewFest (2015), finalist for She NYC Arts’ Summer Theater Festival (2017), and semi-finalist for B Street Theatre’s New Comedies Festival (2019)). I developed my newest play, "Katie and Dom Are Friends", with Davenport Theatrical Enterprises’ Professional Writers Group (2018-2019, moderated by Amanda Yesnowitz). "Katie and Dom" was selected as a semifinalist for both She NYC Arts’ Summer Theater Festival and Playwrights Foundation’s Bay Area Playwrights Festival in 2020. I have also received the Rod Parker Playwriting Fellowship (2015, Emerson College) and a playwriting mentorship through the Writers Guild of America, East Foundation (2014, mentored by Melissa Ross). I am also very interested in writing for film and television, and I am working on improving my skills in those mediums and learning all I can.

I am a graduate of Emerson College (B.A. Theatre Studies: Playwriting and Dramaturgy) and a proud member of the Dramatists Guild of America. You can find more about me at , @robinsgoldberg on social media, and through New Play Exchange.
