A group of college friends fight for their lives against a deranged masked killer deep in the woods. Unaware, they are being filmed by a group of psychotic billionaires betting on who will survive.
SYNOPSIS:
Deep inside a dark forest, a woman runs for her life away from a serial killer in a clown costume wielding an ice drill auger. She attempts to get away, but is eventually taken down by the clown. As the clown murders the woman, a camera can be seen recording the action from a tree. The recording is being screened live to a group of billionaires in a lounge room. They have been betting on whether or not the woman would survive. James, the butler, informs everyone the Death Poll is over and no contestants have survived. Therefore, the money that was placed will be saved for next month's game. As the billionaires leave, Mr. Maccabee, the host of the game, sits in boredom. Maccabee tells James how the game brings him no excitement anymore. James suggests that perhaps for next month's game there should be a new rule initiated.
One month later, a group of college students travel to a house in the woods to celebrate their friends' engagement. The students consist of seven people. Brittany, who is friends with everyone. Tyron, the college dropout and Brittany's boyfriend. Miguel, who lacks leadership and is best friends with Tyron. Henry, the definition of don't judge a book by it's cover. Muscular on the outside, but soft-spoken and weak on the inside. Fatina, a proud Muslim who loves rap music and is not afraid to stand up for herself. They have all come to celebrate the engagement of their friends, Kimmi and Megan. The two are the complete opposites of one another. Megan is brave and willing to fight anyone who disrespects her. While Kimmi is a scaredy cat with a bad smoking habit. The group start settling into the house, unaware there is a loading truck heading their way.
Driving the loading truck is Victor, an ex Army veteran who has seen some horrible things. In the passenger seat is Chris, the rookie who talks too much. They reach the drop zone and unleash this month's killer, "The Monster" Moretz; over seven feet tall, made of pure muscle and wears a black skull mask that is fused to his head. Moretz walks into the forest holding his weapon of choice, a three foot long cultivator.
Meanwhile, the billionaires are settling into the lounge room wondering what the new rule is going to be. Mr. Maccabee explains in this month's Death Poll they will be betting for everything they have. Not just money, but everything. The billionaires are not shook by this new rule and take their bets on who will survive.
The billionaires, Victor and Chris watch the college students party as they wait for Moretz to arrive. During the party, Brittany walks in on Tyron making out with Kimmi. Enraged, Brittany leaves the party. Tyron follows her into the woods. Brittany tells Tyron she is sick of his constant cheating and wishes he'd drop dead. Moretz then steps out from behind a tree and kills Tyron causing Brittany to run back to the house in a panic.
As the billionaires talk about what just happened, Mr. Maccabee approaches the front of the room and pulls out a gun. He explains that when he said they would be betting on everything, he meant everything. Mr. Maccabee aims the gun at the billionaire who bet on Tyron to win. The others then realize that if the person they bet on dies, they die too. Mr. Maccabee shoots the billionaire in the head. Everyone panics as Mr. Maccabee reassures them they will not be harmed as long as the person they chose is alive.
The remainder of the night is a full on bloodbath. Moretz reaches the house and begins picking the students off one at a time. Each time Moretz kills someone, Mr. Maccabee shoots a billionaire to death. One of the billionaires, Mr. Baker, tries to escape, but Maccabee shoots him down outside of the lounge room in the hallway. The students try to board up the house to keep Moretz out. As they do, they discover hidden cameras around the house. Eventually, Moretz breaks his way into the house and begins murdering everyone in sight. He crushes skulls, snaps necks and choke slams Fatina through the floor of the front porch. Brittany grabs one of the cameras and begs for this to stop. Feeling guilty, Victor decides to intervene. Victor reveals to Chris that Moretz nearly killed him in a previous game and he needs to be stopped. Chris tries to stop him, but Victor knocks him out and heads to the house. Moretz finds Brittany and drags her out from hiding. She tries to fight back but Moretz is too strong and kills her.
As Maccabee shoots the final billionaire, he celebrates with a cigar. Everyone appears to be dead. Until, Fatina crawls out from the porch floor. Maccabee is shocked. As he watches, Mr. Baker returns and shoots Maccabee in the gut. The two realize the game is still playing and decide to finish it. The two sit across from each other with their guns aimed and watch Fatina.
Fatina discovers the corpses of her fallen friends. She runs into Moretz and is nearly killed, but Victor makes it just in time to safe her. Victor explains to Fatina what is going on and they need to get out of here. As they form a plan, Moretz kills Victor and pulls him away. Fatina, all alone, musters up the courage to keep moving forward and fight. With her intelligence and quick thinking, Fatina is able to use Moretz' weaknesses against him and is eventually able to defeat him by having him fall backwards onto a chainsaw. Covered in blood, Fatina slowly walks away in victory.
Baker shoots Maccabee in the head. He then orders James to bring his car around and takes Maccabee's cigar. James returns to the lounge room to find Baker has bleed out. Everyone is now dead except for James who grabs the cigar and takes a celebratory puff.
