Inspired by a true story, "American Quest" is about two teenage boys looking for a better future by getting themselves smuggled out of mid-80’s Iran, into Pakistan in hopes of getting to America and the American dream. Five years into Ayatollah Khomeini's rise to power when Iranian laws and freedoms became very strict by the clerics and the Revolutionary Guard, these boys embarked on an impossible journey. Their friendship is what what helps them survive.
