About Brigid

Primarily a live performer I sing everything from folk and blues/jazz to rock with pop, r&b, reggae and gospel in between. I play my piano, play some guitar and love performance, whether acoustic or electric. As long as it is live.

I started singing when I was 11 when I was asked to join the school choir and haven't stopped since. Back then it was Alanis Morissette, Shakira and The Spice Girls I listened to, along with Cat Stevens and Big Bill Broonzy.

I joined the online community when I was 13 to upload videos of my covers, and in 2012 I recorded my debut folk album, The Gathering, a collection of folk tunes I love.

Since those early days I was fortunate enough to work with some amazing musicians, not least of which is Gregg Wright, the absolute King of the Blues and Michael Jackson's lead guitarist for the 1984 Victory Tour.

I perform in Edinburgh whenever I get a chance and Prestonfield House for up to six nights a week during the Edinburgh festival season, starting with Burns Night and finishing in October.

Of course I am always available for gigs and perform in and around Edinburgh the year round, something I greatly enjoy.

Unique traits: Warm expressive voice with distinct Scottish accent, even when singing. Sing pop, R&B, jazz, reggae, some rap, rock, blues and folk with equal passion.
