What if this time the giant asteroid didn’t miss? A hundred years later, in a hell frozen over, an outlander con artist and the biosphere's old town drunk become humanity’s last hope.
SYNOPSIS:
In 2123 A.D., global warming is no longer a problem. Death Valley, California is no longer a desert. Now, it is covered in snow, a barren arctic wasteland. In fact, the whole world is white. The only signs of civilization are the 500 people who live in a biosphere dome, a city called New Eden. A city that is running out of time, and uranium for its reactor.
A large SNOWTRACKER approaches New Eden at full-speed. The snowtracker resembles an armored transport vehicle with tracks instead of wheels and has an M-60 automatic machine-gun mounted on top. Suddenly, a LASER BLAST strikes the ground directly in front of the snowtracker. The snowtracker veers sharply to avoid the ten foot deep crater caused by the blast. A SECOND BLAST restates the warning in more emphatic terms
An outer, protective wall surrounds the perimeter of the biosphere. In the gun tower, the GUNNER lines up the snowtracker for the kill in the sights of his laser cannon. Next to him the SENTRY studies the encroaching vehicle with high-powered binoculars, says not to shoot. “It’s them! They’re back!”
Entering through the air lock chamber, the snowtracker cruises down the main street of New Eden as large crowd applauds and cheers. Then out steps MILES KINCAID and the cheers stop cold. Kincaid wants a whiskey. The Mayor wants answers. Turns out Kincaid won the tracker, or so he says, in a card game, has no idea what happened to New Eden’s people, including the Mayor’s scientist daughter, SKY CHANG, but he does know where to get the uranium ore the town so desperately needs.
A deal is struck. Kincaid wants only the old town drunk, LAKE MCMURPHY, who he knows from way back, for his crew but is forced to take Blade, a cocky young stud who doesn’t last five miles outside the dome. He’s killed in an ambush by the Outlanders who want the snowtracker for themselves. McMurphy, who knows Kincaid for the con man he is, quickly concludes that Kincaid has no idea where the uranium mine is. They take the trailer of fruit (more valuable than gold) they got from New Eden to sell at the den of iniquity known as Cave Town. There McMurphy, a tough as nails lawman before he was a drunk, rescues the Mayor’s daughter, Sky, who does know where the uranium mine is located. The boss of Cavetown, DOMINO, wants Sky back and he and his gang of cutthroats give chase. Domino, the boss of Cavetown, covets New Eden for himself.
The only hope for New Eden’s survival and for the survival of the human race are three unlikely heroes… Miles Kincaid, a con artist with a dream to finish his building boat and sail away, Lake McMurphy, an old drunk with a terrible secret who badly needs redemption, and Sky Chang, the beautiful but tough scientist focused like a laser on saving New Eden, the bio-diversity of our planet and the human race. The three reluctantly join forces and embark on an incredible journey against great odds through this frozen world that shows no mercy.
They are chased by Outlanders and Domino and his gang who they lose in an avalanche. Trapped on an ice flow with a hungry polar bear as they drift out to sea. Lured into the uranium mine and captured by mutant miner cannibals.
After great travail, our trio return to New Eden with the saving uranium, only to discover that New Eden has been taken over by Domino and his gang of Outlanders! And the Outlanders are barbequing the planet’s last breed cow!
A battle royal ensues. Kincaid, McMurphy and Sky against Domino and his horde. The biodiversity of our world at stake.
