Nancy Nagrant (@nancynagrantnyc) founded Anemone Productions (@anemonenyc) to focus on generating work with an emphasis on the female protagonist.
In 2018 Anemone collaborated with director Michelle Bossy on 3 short films -- MIRACLE BABY, an 18-minute drama-thriller written by Steven Fechter (THE WOODSMAN), in which Nancy stars alongside Stephen Kunken (BILLIONS); INCURABLE, an 8-minute dramedy from writer-actor-producer Josephine Cashman, starring Josephine, Carson Lee, Heidi Armbruster (YOUNGER), & Marinda Anderson (NEW AMSTERDAM); and STAG PARTY, a 15-minute drama from writer-actor-producer Sami Bass, starring Sami alongside Alex Hernandez (UnREAL).

Film highlights: Steven Soderbergh’s Side Effects, and Ken Scott’s Delivery Man with Vince Vaughn. I am also active in the indie film scene, most notably appearing in Chateau Sauvignon: terroir, which to date has received over 123 Official Selections, 36 nominations, and 30 wins, including for Best Cast Performance at The Wild Sound Film Festival in 2016.
Theatre highlights: Patricia in Sight Unseen, Sarah in Time Stands Still, Sonya in Uncle Vanya, and “the always poignant and sometimes surprisingly hilarious Anne Hathaway” in Shakespeare’s Slave by Steven Fechter (2004 film The Woodsman).
Commercial highlights: NFL Commercial that ran Thanksgiving Day, NY Lottery print ad campaign.
