Mara Palma

I'm looking forward to connecting with like-minded creatives who champion diversity, female-driven stories, and LGBTQ+ representation in their work. As a multi-passionate actor, screenwriter, and playwright, I look to work with others who value the vast life experiences we bring into any artistic collaboration.

I am a stage actor with classical and contemporary training, having studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA) for their Classical Actor Training semester and at Wellesley College where I earned my Theatre Studies and Political Science degree. I earned several commercial credits in the Seattle market, and am represented by Big Fish NW in the Pacific Northwest. I turned to playwriting as a way to see characters who were more like me on-stage, seeing my work developed in Boston, MA, Seattle, WA, and Los Angeles, CA. When I completed Teresa Huang's Writing a TV Pilot Workshop at East West Players in Los Angeles, I developed my first pilot episode and have been interested in growing my TV Writing craft ever since.

You'll find me reading graphic novels and comic books, sipping my coffee luxuriously and cuddling with my two dogs on days off.
