Sharon Soboil is an award-winning WGA screenwriter whose focus is on women-led material. Her start into feature writing took her around the globe: The sex-trafficking story CATCHING INDIA, for Jennifer Siebel Newsom, sent Sharon to India; THE WINE REVOLT to Bordeaux; the period rom-com OF CORSET’S MINE to England. She was tapped by Voltage Pictures to adapt the third and fourth NY Times best-selling YA novels from the highly successful AFTER franchise, AFTER WE FELL (Netflix) and AFTER EVER HAPPY (in theaters August 2022). Her TV movie LOVE ON THE AIR is a Leo Award winner. Her true story ROO!, about a girl and her dog, is being produced by Resonate Entertainment with David Boyd directing. Along with HOT, she is developing the series SAVED with Kerry David, set in the world of wildlife trafficking, starring Sharon Leal and Ian Henry Cusick, with Monica Macer show-running. She has written for Amazon, Netflix, Disney, Fox, Participant Media, Hallmark and Freeform. And has one of 12 monologues in the upcoming off Broadway show PERIOD PIECE, a series of funny and moving stories about menstruation opening at Westport Country Playhouse February 2022. A UCLA alum, Sharon is a past writer and performer of famed Groundling sketch comedy players and Second City. She is an active member of the Women’s Writer’s Guild Committee and is repped by Josh Kesselman at Thruline Entertainment.
