Sarah Young is a critically acclaimed, Oregon raised, NYC based multi genre director of theatre, opera, and film. She is a proud 2019 MFA graduate of The New School for Drama. Recent highlights include directing a reading at Cherry Lane Theatre, an opera at the La Mama Experimental Theatre, and a site specific world premier play called Baby Shower at a brewery in Brooklyn. Sarah is co-developing and directing a brand new web series called Friends Can't Kiss coming Spring 2021. She produced, directed, and edited the short film In Case We Get Found which has won multiple awards including Best Drama at the New York Movie Awards and Couch Film Festival, and Best Original Story at the Hollywood Gold Awards, Frostbite International Film Festival, and FLOW Festival and Film Market.
The San Francisco Chronicle has called her work “enchanting” while the San Jose Mercury News praised it as “intimate and edgy”.
