CHOSEN: ScreenplayMechanic.com's 2020 Lugnut List as One of the Year's 10 Best Pilots

“...this pilot episode does precisely what a good first hour of a new TV (sic) should do – it pulls us in, makes us care about the characters, then introduces plot threads which all but demand we tune in for the next episode.”

~ Script Consultant Andrew Hilton of ScreenplayMechanic.com

Synopsis: The story opens on the night the senior Bartons, Lydia and Peter, declare their retirement and hand over the keys of their landmark restaurant to their elder son, Simon. Five years later, we find the restaurant in dire straits, and Simon makes the shocking choice to allow an accidental late night fire to destroy the debt-ridden eatery. The repercussions of this decision will affect the trajectory of his life and lead to unforeseen consequences.

Taking place in the fictional North Carolina city of Broadmeadow, London’s Corner features an ensemble cast centered primarily around Simon and the rest of the Barton family. Additional characters will be introduced in story arcs of various lengths as their businesses join and leave London’s Corner--an intersection on the wrong side of the tracks that’s on the cusp of becoming the city’s hot new neighborhood.
