Ambika Vas

Ambika is a performer and writer who was born in Newfoundland and raised between India and the US. She left her Private Equity career in 2018 to pursue acting and comedy full-time.

In 2020, her sketch comedy videos caught the attention of Indian comedians Cyrus Broacha and Kunal Vijaykar and she joined their TV show, The Week that Wasn't, as a Foreign Correspondent. It is a weekly political satire and sketch comedy show that airs on CNN-India.

She is a graduate of Upright Citizens Brigade (LA), the Peoples Improv Theater (NY) and the Comedy School (London). In 2019, she was a recipient of the UCB Diversity Scholarship. She also has an MBA from INSEAD, a Masters and Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Iowa and is a CPA.

Ambika has lived in eight countries and visited 75. She is a dual-citizen of the US and Canada and an Indian Overseas Citizen.
