About Linda

Born and raised in Washington state, Palmer has been making films for over fifteen years. Her producing credits include HALLOWEEN PARTY (2013 Oscar Contender for Best Song, Winner Best Soundtrack Laughlin Int’l Film Fest ’12), THE WEDDING VIDEO (Tacoma Film Fest ’07, Valley Film Fest ’07), and LOOK @ ME. She wrote/directed HALLOWEEN PARTY, as well as her new short film, OUR FATHER, starring Michael Gross and Michael Worth. It’s currently been accepted into over 15 festival and has won many awards including: Audience, Director, Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, Best Cinematic Achievement, Best Score with Best Song nominations as well.

Linda is currently in post production as co-director/co-producer of the documentary DIABETES AND ME: ALONE IN THE CROWD, with her production partner Florence Regina. and on a feature she just directed in January 2015, LAST CALL AT MURRAY’S, written by Brian Beatty and Betsy Morris.

Linda was brought on board, FOOD HEALS, a documentary by Allison Biggar, where she will be taking the film into post- production and distribution in 2015. Palmer is in development on another script she wrote and is set to direct, the coming of age feature, TURNOVER (semi-finalist in Broad Humor Film Festival screenplay competition). She is also in production on the web series, CARBON DATING with writer/actress/producer, Amanda Serra.

She is the founder of Runaway Productions, a commercial and feature film production company. The company was formed when she wrote, directed and produced a campaign of public service announcements for ‘Children of the Night’, an organization that rescues children from the street and prostitution. That campaign ran in the Los Angeles market for five years. She is also the founder of the marketing firm, Alter Ego Agency.

As well as writing, directing and producing, Palmer also production designs for commercials, TV and film. She is set to production design the feature thriller, OCTOBER 30TH for director Michael Yurinko, in 2016.

Linda studied design and promotion at FIDM, television and radio production at Long Beach City College, film production and screenwriting at UCLA and completed the 2 day Film School, 35mm Shoot and Film Finance programs at HFI. She resides in Long Beach, CA.
