Joan Lagache

A French to English translator/rewriter specializing in the movie industry, I translate screenplays, treatments, synopses, press kits (everything but subtitles) for BtoB purposes (attracting financing and talent in pre-prod, international sales in post-prod, festivals etc.) as well as translating shooting scripts into English for int'l prod and tech teams, and/or screenplays written in French but shot in English. I work in tandem with an English to French translator who covers the opposite direction. In particular, we are hired to render screenplays and dialogue more natural sounding when penned by non-native speakers. We work directly with screenwriters, directors and producers here in France.
