THE HOUSE ON LAVENDER LANE

When an overly dramatic gay man unexpectedly loses his job, he, and his strait-laced psychiatrist husband, agree to let their friends, a sex addicted college professor, and a mother hen like church organist and his twenty-three-year-old pansexual nephew, to rent rooms in their new large house so they can continue to afford the place.

SYNOPSIS:

JASON OLSON and his mother, LOLA, are talking while Jason is preparing for his husband, GARRISON, to get home with some expected good news. Lola stopped by unexpectedly and Jason is not too happy about it. After needling Jason about the big new home and Garrison’s promotion, Lola leaves just as Garrison gets home. Expecting to hear good news, Jason is all excited, but over-dramatic Garrison starts to cry as he tells Jason he lost his job. The promotion went to a young guy from New York named Lucas Barnes. Jason is beside himself because they need Garrison’s salary in order to afford the big house they just bought. Jason had planned a celebration dinner with their friends SPENCE and NEAL. Caught unaware by the news, Jason did not get to cancel the dinner plans. Garrison says they should still go but ends up breaking down when he tells Spence and Neal that he was fired. Just as Garrison is getting over being fired, the waiters show up with a cake to celebrate his promotion. Garrison cries and ends up face first in the cake. “I should have cancelled the cake,” Jason says. In order to benefit them both, Neal offers to rent a room in the house. Jason’s not thrilled with the idea, but Garrison's thinks it would be great. Since Spence needs to find a place for him and his nephew, who is moving to town for a new job, he asks to move in with them too. Jason and Garrison agree to let Neal, Spence and his nephew move in. On moving day, Neal has lined up the Bare-Naked Movers to help him move .

Spence moves his stuff in, but his nephew is running late.

Jason and Garrison host their inaugural pool party that evening and can’t get their two groups of friends (an older group and a younger group) to mingle, until Spence’s nephew shows up and brings the two groups together.

Garrison offers Spence’s nephew a cocktail and realizes his’s Lucas Barnes, the man who look his job. Garrison goes berserk

Spence offers to move out, but everyone agrees they can give the arrangement a try.
