Blood Drive explores a parent’s darkest fears and questions how far we go before believing the unbelievable.

After ArI flees her violent ex, with her disabled hemophiliac daughter MERRY (11), who is on a walker, and autistic vampire enthusiast BEN (8), she settles in a small town. She’s captivated by dreamy pediatrician/researcher ADAM, a pillar of the tight-knit community. A serious accident leads Ari and her kids to temporarily move in with Adam and his son SEPH, whilst she recovers.

After sleuthing, Merry becomes convinced that Seph is a vampire and tells Ari they need to leave. Ari accuses Merry of sabotaging her new relationship and all-too-soon marries Adam. Meanwhile, Adam tells Ari that a blood-borne epidemic is causing hallucinations, leading to the CDC being called. Unbeknownst to Adam, this includes the CDC's secret vampire-hunting division.

Adam is accused of molesting kids he coaches at basketball but Ben and Merry defend Adam to police. As Merry runs to Adam, Ari can see she is barely using the walker. Ari catches Seph, in full vampire mode, feeding on Ben! She questions her sanity, given her psychiatric history.

Ari eventually rises beyond her doubts and plots to escape. But Merry relapses and is admitted to the pediatric unit which is on epidemic lockdown.

When Ari breaks in to rescue Merry, she discovers a ring of vampires preying on children. They flee and go to the police, leading Ari to be admitted to a psych ward. The children break her out and plan to leave town.

Ari knows that without the vampire venom, Merry will lose her ability to walk. Ari calls her mother – from a long line of vampire hunters – and hatches a plan to capture Adam and Seph.

But Adam traps Ari! He confesses that he leads the town’s vampire ring and a vampire-human research project. Vampire venom heals children whilst the vampires drink. Female haemophiliacs like Merry are hunted because, as adults, they can see and hunt vampires. Ari sees the kids, hidden, poised to attack Adam. She stabs herself to distract Adam who sinks his fangs into her. The kids attack and the trio lure Adam and Seph to the hospital where they’re captured by Ari’s mum’s CDC team of vampire hunters.

A decade later, it's Merry's 21st birthday. She injects venom from the vampire who is willingly held in captivity in Merry's vault -- It's Ari. Merry rises to claim her familial destiny as the newest vampire slayer.
