GONE
By Tyler Schultz

GENRE: Science Fiction
LOGLINE:

A disillusioned young man volunteers for a one-way space mission to escape his broken life, but when a wormhole jump strands the crew billions of light-years from Earth—and decades in the future—they must confront their pasts and a mysterious alien force to forge a new future for humanity.

SYNOPSIS:

Yahir Rafiq, a disillusioned young man with nothing left to lose, volunteers for a one-way space mission meant to collect data from the far reaches of the universe. Haunted by a fractured past and a broken relationship, Yahir sees the mission as a chance to escape his dead-end life and find meaning among the stars.

Joined by two other crewmembers—Priya, a brilliant but emotionally scarred scientist, and Nathan, a grizzled dreamer chasing his childhood fantasy—the trio embarks on a journey aboard the Osiris, a deep-space vessel bound for the mysterious galaxy Cosmo Redshift Seven. But when a wormhole jump sends them 13 billion light-years away—they awaken to find Earth destroyed, communication severed, and an alien force closing in.

As the crew races to survive, Yahir and Priya are pulled into a surreal confrontation with their pasts, reliving painful memories and unresolved traumas in a metaphysical realm where time and identity blur. With the fate of humanity’s last hope hanging in the balance, they must choose whether to run, fight, or forge a new future from the ashes of the old.

Gone is a deeply human sci-fi odyssey about grief, legacy, and the universal longing to matter in a universe that often feels indifferent.
