From Chasing the Kale, filmed for "One Day on Earth", a global documentary. Abigail and Aurora Lozano have a farm plot at New Roots Farm in urban San Diego. Their grandmother, Hermalinda, leads the group Campesinos Unidos, farmers who are all from Mexico and Central America. They sell their produce at local farmer's markets and to restaurants in San Diego.

Fernanda buys the kale grown by the Campesinos Unidos. She is the owner of the Cafecito (coffee place) at the farmer's market and a community organizer in City Heights the most diverse community in San Diego.
