Hello Folks

Born in London in 1946, I’ve lived in Torquay, Devonshire in England (the birth place of Agatha Christie) since 1983. After wandering around with the seeds of the story in my head for more than 10 years, I wrote “Redeeming Factor” in 2008. I then sent the MSS, together with a substantial fee, to Norman Price at Manuscript Appraisals in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, UK.

In his detailed appraisal, Mr Price said, “This first attempt at a full length novel represents a dedicated effort involving a considerable degree of historical research by a learned writer. I did genuinely enjoy it, as did one of my lady readers. The denouement is pleasantly satisfying, and we know of no similar work.”

Unfortunately, after publishing "Redeeming Factor" through BookBaby in 2011, I innocently violated Amazon USA’s promotional rules, so I’ve never been able to promote the work Stateside. However, I have managed to pick-up several very good Amazon reviews here in the UK. Please see the “Redeeming Factor” Amazon UK link below, plus the reviews, and a synopsis.

As a 76 year old, partially disabled TV-film actor, radio broadcaster and independent author, I would be glad to hear from any TV-film script writer who maybe on the lookout for a thriller with a delicate romantic thread, and a paranormal climax.

FULL STAGE 32 BIO:-

AN ENGLISH voice in a million! ... Disabled radio host under my birth name of David Lowe since 1981 ... TV-film actor under my stage name of Lewis Adler since 1993 ... Independent author under my pen name of Lewis Adler since 2011 ... Retired UK provincial newspaper columnist and photo journalist (1986 to 2011) under my birth name of David Lowe.

I'm a partially disabled musician and TV-film actor who has been forced to give-up the former completely and drastically curtail the latter, due to the onset of a severe Dystonic-Essential Tremor affecting my hands, arms and head. However, I'm still a member of the UK actors union Equity, and I'm still available to play roles demanding a severe Parkinson's-like head, hands and arms tremor. My one-in-a-million oh so English speaking voice, though, remains virtually unaffected.

My most recent featured TV role came in May 2022, in an episode of "Doctors" on BBC 1 titled 'Frequency Response', when I played a former musician, partially disabled by Essential Tremor ... no kidding! Here's a link to the episode. currently on the BBC iPlayer ... .uk/iplayer/episode/m00177pq/doctors-series-23-41-frequency-response

LITERARY ACTIVITIES: In addition to the above, I'm also an independent author, short story and feature writer, and former newspaper columnist and photo journalist. I currently have three e-books to my name, the most recent of which is a ghosted autobiography titled "More Maisie Pops 1965-1990" which was published in March 2016. As the title suggests, it is the sequel to "Maisie Pops 1913-1965" which is, likewise, a ghosted autobiography that was published in 2013. My debut work was published in 2011. It's a paranormal thriller titled "Redeeming Factor" and, in common with the other two titles, it is available via Amazon for download to all e-book and e-readers worldwide.

Check-out the synopses, and customer reviews plus the opening chapters of all three e-books by clicking on or copying and pasting the links below:-

RADIO: From 1981 to 2014, under my birth name of David Lowe, I produced and presented thousands of music-based, magazine and documentary radio programmes for the BBC and UK Independent Local Radio. I'm now a pensioner, but I continue to broadcast on a weekly basis, as a volunteer producer-presenter on the UK's Riviera FM community radio station at:-

www.riviera.fm

DISABILITY: I suffer from what has been diagnosed as a "Dystonic Tremor with an Essential Tremor Component": a non-terminal, progressive neurological condition affecting my hands, arms and head. Under my birth name of David Lowe, I have uploaded a couple of short video clips to YouTube that tell my Dystonia-Essential Tremor story. In due course I will be making one or two similar clips under my Lewis Adler stage and pen name. In the meantime, here are the existing (David Lowe) YouTube links:-

NETWORK INVITES: Please note, I always IGNORE Network Invitations that fail to include a proper Bio.

REPRESENTATION: My agent is Louise Dyson at VisABLE People in London

Unique traits: A truly distinctive, deep, soothing, creamy-rich English accent. In fact, I've often been told it's "a voice in a million" and, thankfully, the voice is not compromised by the severe tremor condition affecting my hands, arms and head. The tremor symptoms mimic Parkinson's Disease, cerebral palsy and shell shock, but they're not terminal.
