LOGLINE:

A young man down-on-his-luck is tasked with delivering his father’s ashes across America in a “One-of-a-Kind RV that looks like a Locomotive” but....ends-up getting pursued by the World’s Most Powerful Drug Cartel!

SYNOPSIS:

Kraig Jamison is on bad terms with his father. When his father gets killed in a hit-and-run it’s too late to make amends. His father leaves him a one-of-a-kind RV that resembles a locomotive and wants him to drive it across America and take the ashes (Dust) to the Pacific.

The problem is Kraig is flat-broke so he accepts a job from an old friend named Butch who runs a car dealership in El Paso.

But when he gets to El Paso he finds the job he was promised has been given to someone else!

Not only is Kraig broke but his father's life insurance policy lapsed leaving his unemployed mother no money and facing an imminent foreclosure.

Out of options and desperate he accepts an offer to “Earn a Year’s Salary for a Few Day’s Work”.

Butch convinces him to use his RV to pick up drugs at Big Bend National Park – All he has to do is drive! An RV is the perfect cover at a National Park.

While waiting to do the job, Kraig develops a romance with Tina who is also struggling to survive. Tina is on parole and her ex-boyfriend is an obsessive Cop named “Crumbotta” who is abusing his power and coercing her to marry him.

Now, Crumbotta and The DEA are trailing a drug lord named “Traqueteo” but they don't know that Traqueteos' buyers are Butch and Kraig.

Butch and Kraig don’t know that Traqueteo stole the drugs from a warehouse owned by the “World’s Most Powerful Drug Cartel”. The Cartel learns the exchange point and sends a death-squad led by an animal-lover people-hater named Molocho.

The pickup goes horribly wrong and there’s a brutal gun battle between the cartels. In a state of shock, Kraig barely escapes with his life.

Kraig Jamison was only supposed to drive but now he has an RV full of drugs and enough money for three lifetimes so he races back to El Paso and convinces Tina to violate her parole and run away with him. Molocho and the Cartel will stop at nothing to recover what is theirs.

Kraig wants redemption, Crumbotta wants Tina, Molocho wants revenge and the DEA wants them all! Can Kraig escape the cartel and honor his father’s last wish or will everything crumble into “A Pound of Dust”?

How does it end you ask?

Well, it continues to escalate. The DEA doesn’t know that Crumbotta is “on the take” from the Juarez Cartel.

Crumbotta brings Molocho to Tina’s (his ex-girlfriend) apartment and they torture her roommate who reveals that Tina and Kraig have fled to Telluride.

In Telluride, Kraig and Tina find a brief safe-haven and unload the unwanted drugs to Butch’s associates – A Native American “Business” Enterprise.

Molocho and Crumbotta arrive in town and the next morning there’s a shootout in downtown Telluride!

The Native-American associates pin-down the Juarez Cartel.

Kraig and Tina flee to the Pacific coast to say goodbye to her mother and bring the ashes to the sea.

Meanwhile, the DEA learns Kraig and Tina’s identities and race towards Tina’s mother’s house.

Molocho and Crumbotta are a step ahead of the DEA and converge on the house but miss Kraig and Tina by an hour.

Tina's autistic mother inadvertently reveals to Molocho and later, the DEA, Tina's favorite childhood spot at Big Sur.

After learning a heart-breaking revelation about his father’s wrongful death, a devastated Kraig goes to Big Sur to release the ashes.

The DEA are closing-in.

Molocho catches them at the coast and there is a final Showdown at Big Sur.
