The Convent is a one-hour suspense-drama limited TV series set in 1941 Halifax, Nova Scotia in which Catholic priest Father Jamieson is forced to return to St. Jude Convent by Canadian Intelligence to steal the M4 Enigma cipher machine from German spies and clear the woman he loves for the murder of his mentor.

SYNOPSIS:

The last thing FATHER RICHARD JAMIESON needs after learning his mentor, FATHER CONNOLLY was murdered in his confessional at Mount St. Jude Convent is a deadly mission for AGENT KENNEDY of Canadian Naval Intelligence

But war neurosis and suffering a crisis of faith for causing the death of a Canadian naval officer are only the beginning of Jamieson’s nightmare when he is forced back to the convent to save CYNTHIA, a woman with whom he shared a secret life. To do this he must breach a Nazi spy ring, copy their codebook and manuals for the M4 Enigma ciphering machine, and prove Cynthia’s innocence of being a Nazi spy and Father Connolly’s murderer.

In a moment of truth Jamieson’s faith collides with his heart where he must choose between, God, or kill again to protect the one person he loves the most.
