Charlotte Ferrell

Charlotte Sista C Ferrell is a dramatic poet, scriptwriter, and indie filmmaker whose social-issue-themed short films, "One Score and 17 Nights", and "Sisters Out of the Box", have won festival awards. They have also been screened by faith centers and community organizations for special events. She is a resident of Los Angeles, CA, and Vancouver, BC. where she holds "creative writing in creative spaces" workshops that elicit people's stories in written or digital formats. Some of her work with young poets is included in a documentary short film, "Ambassadors of Peace and Love." Loving her experiences as a voice-over actor for educational media inspired her to participate in a multi=faced. training program at CJSF FM. Since 2019, she has been the weekly Host/Producer for SuLuAu ("Speak Up, Listen Up, Act Up-on") and produced special shows for Kwanzaa and Black History Month. She recently crossed the 100th episode milestone as Host/Coordinator for Powered by Age, Canada's longest running senior-led podcast. heard on international podcast platforms. currently, she is reconnecting with former Art Institute of California-Hollyweed crew mates to create some comedy sketches and short documentaries. Her most recent independent project is a short Cin-E-Matic poem, "I Choose to Challenge" selected for screening at North Vancouver's famous Polygon Gallery. She is the writer, videographer, and editor; with music composed and arranged by Jesse Wentzloff.
