Shanda Sawyer

Shanda Sawyer is a director, writer, and choreographer whose work has garnered two Emmys®, a Gracie, a Peabody, and six American Choreography and World Choreography Award nominations. Sawyer’s directing has fueled the success of shows such as Queer Eye, The Man Show, The Keenan Ivory Wayans Show, Extreme Makeover, and The World’s Greatest Stunts. Sawyer Executive produced and directed Oxygen’s Gracie-winning reality/comedy series Who Needs Hollywood? and was honored to design and direct the Michael Kidd Tribute for the Academy Awards®. Sawyer also directed and co-wrote the Marvel Universe Live! arena show franchise, re-imagined the Ringling Bros. Circus, and has served as Choreographer and Creative Director for many TV shows, music videos, commercials, and concerts, including six videos for Blake Shelton’s Texoma Shore album, and performances by Beyonce, Michael Bolton & Andrea Bocelli.
