SYNOPSIS:

NOMINATED: BEST FEATURE SCREENPLAY - 2012 TERROR FILM FESTIVAL NOMINATED: BEST FEATURE SCREENPLAY - 2012 NEW ORLEANS HORROR FILM FESTIVAL OFFICIAL SELECTION - 2012 ACTION ON FILM FESTIVAL SEMIFINALIST - SHREIKFEST QUARTERFINALIST - PULSAR SCI-FI SCREENPLAY COMPETITION CAPTAIN MARGARET DAWSON of the Milky Way Alliance starship "Causality" is sent on a mission to investigate a dispute between two races on the opposite side of the galaxy. One race is atheist, while the other is a religious race, who have stolen starships to spread their religious beliefs. During an encounter with the waring races, a transparent anomaly enters the battlefiend and crashes into the Causality. HERMES, a being from the anomaly, teleports aborad the Causality and introduces himself to the Captain. Later, the Causality, along with a stolen starship from the religious movement known as the AWAKENED, are attacked by Captain Dawson's own people as part of a surprise attack by Alliance starships. The stolen Awakened ship is destroyed, and the Causality is damaged. After escaping her own people, Captain Dawson encounters Hermes again, who explains his race is worshiped by the Awakened, and that he feels there may be a connection between the Awakened and his appearance that may have caused the Alliance to turn against the Causality. Captain Dawson sets course for a planet which holds a piece of the puzzle to unraveling the mystery. IRIS, a member of the athiest race that now believes in the Awakened religion, explains to Captain Dawson her reasoning for changing her beliefs ... scientific evidence of gods. In an effort to prove to the Causality crew the existence of gods, a conflict between the Alliance and Awakened ensues, where the reality of all existence is revealed.
