Dr Judith Brown is a Senior Lecturer and Head of Theatre at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music within CQUniversity, Australia. She regularly lectures in piano, studio teaching methods, musicianship and history. As a pianist, Judith has performed with some of Australia’s leading classical musicians and is also an accomplished performer of music theatre and cabaret genres. In 2009 she was the recipient of the CQUniversity Vice-Chancellor’s Teacher of the Year Award, and in 2010 she received an Australian Learning and Teaching Council (ALTC) Citation for outstanding contributions to student learning. She was also the consultant editor to the Australian Music Examinations Board for the Series 3 Piano for Leisure publications, and maintains an active research profile around music performance and student learning in the performing arts.
