I'm the author of DICKEY CHAPELLE UNDER FIRE: PHOTOGRAPHS BY THE FIRST AMERICAN FEMALE WAR CORRESPONDENT KILLED IN ACTION. In addition to working on various writing projects, I'm a former Coast Guard captain and have a Ph.D. from the USC Film School. I've taught at the Coast Guard Academy and Yale.
