About Samantha

I am a Johannesburg-based freelancer (South Africa), where I am a Video Editor; On-set Editor (Features only) and Post production Supervisor. I graduated from AFDA in 2003, and have since worked on Films; TV Commercials; Documentaries and Corporate videos in a variety of positions: Editor; Production Manager; DIT Operator; Post Production Supervisor; etc. I recently decided to go back to Freelancing, because my passion is Film and I want to tell stories.

As a filmmaker, I've learnt how to work under pressure, meet deadlines and make tough decisions. I have a knowledge of budgets, schedules, crew/cast hire; and I can edit on both Adobe Premiere Pro and Final Cut Pro. I'm creative, motivated and eager.

I wish that cartoons were real! I'm a sci-fi, fantasy and supernatural freak - I'd love the chance to be a monster in a movie! :)

Unique traits: “We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars.” ~ Oscar Wilde
