About Ricardo

Ricardo (Rick) is the son of the author of the book, Méjico, The Conquest Of An Ancient Civilization, written by Ruffo Espinosa, Sr. who spent over 20 years researching the book which was finally finished 30 years later in 1983.
In order to bring his father's book to life, Rick undertook the task of studying screenwriting under the tutelage of excellent professional screenwriters and wrote the 119- page screenplay, The Gold Serpent, based on the book. As a result of this movie’s powerful narrative, The Gold Serpent is sure to leave audiences spellbound as we delve deep into the tensions boiling beneath the surface of Aztec history. Not only is this a story about greed, lust, power, and war, this is a story about finding love, hope and salvation in a place we least expect to find it.

Rick is a retired optometrist.
