About Mahyar
I’m originally from Germany and moved to the United States years ago to attend film school. I studied screenwriting at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. Those were some of the best years of my life. I’ve been writing scripts ever since I left film school. One of my scripts was once optioned and a director was attached, but unfortunately the deal fell apart and the project never saw the light of day. Despite so many rejections and disappointments I haven’t given up hope yet. I’m currently writing a single location horror spec, which I believe, has the potential to open doors for me. Based on my research Stage 32 is a good place to meet people from the film business, ranging from agents to executives, and perhaps I’ll find the right people who may be interested in my scripts and my writing.
