A local bookstore worker has to grudgingly host a social-media-obsessed best-selling author and keep her feelings for her co-worker in check as everyone vies for the spotlight.

SYNOPSIS:

Bree is a 20-something bookstore worker with a keen eye for good writing. She loves non-fiction and has a huge crush on her co-worker Nathaniel. Nathaniel is a writer, but he never shares his work.

With their boss, Tammy, they plan the perfect author event. The store has been hurting for money and hosting the big self-absorbed social-media sensation, author Nelson Luke, can save the store from closing. There’s just one problem, both Bree and Nathaniel can’t stand him or his work.

They spend all day preparing for the big event. When their shift is over, they’re expected to come back for the evening event to help everything run smoothly. Nathaniel finally let’s Bree read his work, but it’s horrible and she offers him some pointers. He can’t take criticism and fights with her.

Then Bree meets Mr. Nelson Luke. He’s cute, charming, and actually a nice guy. This drives Nathaniel crazy. He is so rude that Nelson and his agent make a bet to see if having an agent can tame Nathaniel and make him a great writer.

Nathaniel’s ego blows up at the prospect of getting an agent. He treats Bree like crap, but it doesn’t hurt her as much as she expects because she’s having fun getting to know Nelson. He asks her to read his work, and after she offers her opinion, he asks her to be his editor, but she admits she has other plans: she wants to be a non-fiction writer. Nelson is incredibly supportive and his agent is interested in giving her the chance she deserves. She and Nelson start a new adventure together as a pair of writers.
