About Luann

Luann Barry, Executive Producer of 1st Wave Productions, a production service company and co-working space in Venice CA. Luann's is a filmmaker with an emphasis on line-production. She rose quickly through the ranks starting as a PA in NYC commercial production to Executive Producer of Dektor/Higgins Hollywood. She opened 1st Wave Productions in 1999 and has serviced a variety of productions originating domestically and internationally. Most recently, 1st Wave was the service company for the Black Lab AU film, WINCHESTER; the Helen Mirren film released Feb 2018. 1st Wave Producer/ UPM for AIR NEW ZEALAND short form branded contact project via JUNGLE, New ZEALAND. She was international production manager for Mozark Productions/ Linda Bloodworth Thomason on the Hillary Clinton documentary "Shoulders."

As a freelancer, Luann has line-produced 100's of commercial for A+ companies and with these projects has traveled all over the world. Currently she works in scripted and unscripted digital content for companies such as BRAT NETWORK / Hollywood.

She produced and directed the feature documentary GODSPEED: THE STORY OF PAGE JONES (Executive Producer, Jay Leno) to be released Winter 2018 by Chassy Media. She is in postproduction on the documentary, THE ART OF BIRD WATCHING that is about discovering exceptional artistry in unusual places.
